Account & data deletion

You own your data. Two ways to delete your Sūryanamaskār account:

From inside the app (fastest)

1. Open Sūryanamaskār on your phone.
2. Tap Profile → Settings.
3. Tap Delete account at the bottom.
4. Confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion in 7 days.

The 7-day window is a grace period — sign back in within that time and the deletion is cancelled automatically. After 7 days the deletion runs and is irreversible.

By email (if you can't access the app)

Send us a deletion request from the email address on your account to privacy@suryanamaskar.app with subject "Delete my account". We respond within 7 business days and confirm before deleting anything.

What gets deleted

• Profile fields (display name, real name, demographics, preferences).
• Practice history (sessions, rounds, streaks, badges, leaderboard rows).
• Linked sign-in providers (Google, Facebook, email).
• Push notification tokens and quiet-hours preferences.
• Friendships and any social-share posts you authored.

What we retain (limited, audit-only)

• Anonymised, deduplicated counts in city-level aggregates so the leaderboard for a date doesn't shift retroactively when a user deletes. Your username and identity are not recoverable from these counts.
• Auth audit tombstones with no PII for 90 days, so we can investigate fraud or abuse if the account had been used to attack the service. After 90 days these are also dropped.
